I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at JLR (Royal Leamington Spa, England) in Mar 2018
Interview
The whole process was very professional and straightforward. There were three tasks that needed to be done. First task was to complete the in-tray exercise. The task was the competency based interview and few questions asked about the automobile industry in general. The last task was the group exercise. We were a group of 6 and each of us had a different supplier. As a group we had to decide which supplier would be suitable for JLR. (For graduates who applied for product engineering, they had to do a presentation instead of the in-tray exercise.)

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JLR
Interview
I was received by 2 managers who conducted the interview.
We went through my résumé highlighting the key points for the role. I was asked some questions relatives to the automotive domain. Nothing especially complex.
I reckon the main problem with the interview process is they cannot evaluate the candidate using questions that are so simple. The interviewers seemed to lack of experience to offer the candidate a proper interview with proper technical questions. Unfortunately it makes them to refuse people with really good skills to work in the company.
