I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at JLR (Royal Leamington Spa, England) in Mar 2018
Interview
Pretty standard - CV, then tests and an assessment centre.
Took about 7 months from initial application to assessment centre.
After the assessment centre, I heard nothing for 8 weeks - upon emailing, I was sent a stock email that had obviously been a failed mail merge - the changing fonts and lack of name was disappointing.
Especially as I had been promised a phone call with the results and feedback.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at JLR (Coventry, Engeland) in Sep 2015
Interview
Contract interview. General management/competency questions and then some technical/probing questions. Finished with personal information and background. Friendly and professional. Did not feel pressured and felt the whole process was very constructive.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at JLR (Manchester City Centre, England) in May 2018
Interview
Contacted me out of blue saying they really wanted me to visit in central Manchester. I dont remember my application because it was more than 2 months ago. The recruitment agency (Experis/Manpower) said I had to come quickly two days after. Then someone from JLR calls asking me to change date to tomorrow. They change their mind and say stick to same date. I attend interview. One of the managers is absent. The guy interviewing me hasnt read my CV and frankly doesn't know what role I am applying for. The recruitment agency gives me the wrong title for this individual. To top it off, job has no work hours, so they expect you to come anytime. Furthermore interviewer corrects the job specification and says parts are incorrect. My hunt they are just seeing whats in the market with no actual clue of a) how to conduct an interview b)what they want. Salary may be impressive but Im not selling my soul for didorganised mess. Im supposed to be having a telephone interview but I know where the ball stands.
