Interview
Very laid back they were desperate for mechanics. I was interviewed by the Service manager and two foremen. It was more of a formality than an interview which should have been my first red flag.

Question 1
What are the biggest short and medium term challenges this role is likely to present?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at JLR (Coventry, Engeland) in Mar 2018
Interview
1) Online application submission followed by tests (Situational, Numerical etc). The online tests are fine if you practice and prepare.
2) Assessment Centre: This consisted of a group exercise of around 6 people. Each person was given documents and a unique sheet of information per person and in a group, you'd need to come to a conclusion based on this information.
Next was a 1-2-1 interview which was largely competency based, but interviewers could probe your answers. For example I answered a question with some technical information and was asked more about it.
After the interview, there was a technical presentation, 20-ish minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to present in a 1-2-1 format again.
The day was relaxed, food provided, chatted with current graduates.
