I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at JLR (Coventry, Engeland) in Jan 2018
Interview
Applied online, had a telephone call with HR a few days later asking very simple questions which could easily have been included on the online application form (eg have you used SAP before).
2 months went by without any response, emailed the recruitment team to check progress and received no response. After 2 months I had a generic email saying I had not been successful. Terrible process and lack of communication.

Basic phone call regarding previous experience and use of software etc.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at JLR (Coventry, Engeland) in Dec 2017
Interview
The recruitment process was generally very easy. An informal phone call asking a few questions, an email offering interview slots. I was able to choose a slot. 1 face to face interview which was very relaxed and then a phone call to advise I was successful a couple of weeks later. I then got a written offer which was e-signed and salary was negotiable. It took a while to receive The written offer. The start date was around 2 months after.

Question 1
How many footballs would it take to fill this room?
Relatively straightforward, my only issue would be that it took them forever to contact me (and many others I know) once we’d passed the online tests.
Online tests were pretty simple, I didn’t find them too hard and I don’t have a maths background at all. Practice is key here, the same questions with different data comes up constantly! The verbal reasoning is also pretty much common sense, not difficult at all. I’d say the hardest part is keeping within the time limit but then again practice will help with this.
I was then informed that I’d passed the online tests pretty promptly, and that my scores would be added to my UCAS points and I could potentially be shortlisted. Given that my A-Level scores were very poor (140 points) I didn’t hold much hope at this stage.
I was informed that I had been invited to an assessment centre exactly three months later, which was a little irritating but I was happy and surprised to have been selected. The day is held in a hotel in Coventry, and I’d recommend staying there overnight as they give some expenses and if you get a morning session it starts quite early.
The actual assessment centre isn’t too difficult - I found the individual interview went well and my interviewer was so lovely and made me feel at ease. I’d recommend sharing all and any ideas you have here - I’m passionate about accessibility and diversity in the workplace so I rambled a little on about these! Also it’s always good to know facts about the company that aren’t related to your position eg engineering developments and such because it shows you’ve researched further and really want to work there.
The intray was definitely the hardest part. Hard to explain on here but very, very tricky. There isn’t any preparation here either except make sure you’re handy at solving maths problems.
The last stage is the group interview which is really relaxing! I’d just say don’t be too aggressive when talking about your point of view, and listen to others because it’s important to be a good listener in the workplace anyway.
I haven’t heard back yet from them, but they seem like a brilliant company to work for.
