I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at JLR (Gaydon, England) in May 2016
Interview
I was to have an informal discussion to see where I could fit into the organisation.
The person that called sounded/spoke nervously.
I was blatantly being interviewed for a role as an Infotainment Tester (which I have no experience of)
Feedback was not only that I wasn't suitable but they felt I wouldn't be able to learn anything (my CV disputes this as I have often been in at the forefront of technology and had to learn things in a real hurry!) So I was really annoyed with the comment.....
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Some asking which programming languages I was familiar with
Did I know what an RS232 interface was?
Mainly them blurbing.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JLR in May 2015
Interview
Assessment centre - Had to undertake two interviews & a role play task.
First interview was a behavioural interview, standard stuff just to check that you match up to JLRs core values and business behaviours.
Second was the role focussed Technical interview - again standard stuff if you know what you are talking about!
Role play was tough and carried out under time pressure, but bearable. Watch out for the little tricks that exist to try and trip you up!

What do you think some of the challenges we face might be as we expand globally, and what could we do to counteract them?

Interview
Very straight forward. Had a chat, some typical questions. Competency based. Give me an example of when you've... Failed to deliver, worked in a team, worked under pressure, had to meet a deadline, etc.
