I applied online. I interviewed at JLR (Coventry, Engeland)
Interview
First you apply online and do tests. Then you are invited to an assessment centre.
In mine we did a group task where we have to share information and come to a decision within an hour. Then you have a 1-1 interview with a senior manager which will last quite a while. Ypou have to be fully prepared for this.
Lastly was the in-tray exercise where you basically get emails and have to decide who to forward them to and what else to do.
Pretty tough day but free coffee so all is well!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you worked well in a team.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at JLR (Birmingham, Engeland) in Nov 2015
Interview
Had online tests which I ace. Had an online talk to the comp interview. Awful. Load of rubbish put me off.
I out qualify the role with First class honours degree in management and over 5 year manufacturing experience.
I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at JLR (Coventry, Engeland) in Mar 2016
Interview
The overall process is far too slow. I applied in late September only to receive a rejection in March. I already received an offer from another firm which took less than 8 weeks. I previously attended an assessment centre last year for a summer placement and there were no graduates to talk to and no time for interacting with staff to find out more about themselves and the company. I felt like I was a product being put through an inspection rather than the myself and the company trying to seek the best for each other. There seems to have been little change from before.
The process consisted of a Situation Judgement Test followed by verbal, numerical and diagrammatical tests and an assessment centre with group exercise, 1:1 competency interview, and in-tray test.
