The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Pasadena, CA) in Apr 2012
Interview
Interviewed with two people. Manager and associate. Described job and some questions. Took 1 hour. And went very in depth about making it seem like job is super hard and actually said "we try to break our interns" after that I was done. No thank you
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, CA) in Feb 2012
Interview
I was contacted by the hiring manager and informed that the recruiter would contact me. That took 3 weeks. The recruiter called and we finally connected for an initial screening interview. I waited another 2 weeks to schedule the 1:1 interview with the hiring manager, as well as a panel interview comprised of managers in the department. I prepared for the interview and brought examples of my work. The interview was relatively low-key; the panel was friendly and receptive, and my 1:1 went past the designated time as the hiring manager and I had a positive discussion. During the interview, I was told by the hiring manager that I would receive a from the recruiter, whether I received an offer or not. After the interview, I waited 2 weeks after my post interview follow-up to contact the recruiter. I contacted the recruiter 2 more times before catching her on her phone to find out that she dropped the ball on calling me back to let me know that I did not receive the offer. Fortunately I was able to still contact the hiring manager, who was extremely apologetic about the lack of follow-through.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2011
Interview
Received a phone interview asking how I heard of the position and why my background would fit with Kaiser. Lasted 30 minutes going over my resume with a fine tooth comb asking questions about each of my duties or responsibilities.
