I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente in Jun 2010
Interview
Initial communication was by internet, then referral from an employee, then telephone interview with supervisor, then team interview, then 1:1 interview, urine drug screen, blood screen test for communicable disease, employee health department counseling, Then came multiple psychological testing in one setting at preappointed time at the location where I was to work. My perceptions of the people were good; they were professional, efficient, and goal oriented. Office was professional, clean, organized, and quiet. All employees on shift seemed fully engaged in their job tasks. They were intensely focused on excellence and appeared to be friendly to myself in the building, as a stranger.

Interview
Traveled from Austin to CA and interview lasted about 30 minutes with panel. This panel knew nothing about lean six sigma and where most likely placed on the panel because of lack of skills in the normal jobs.
The worst thing about the process is they want 3 months to pay your travel expenses. They tell you this after the interview!!
Anyone who would work for this organization would be because they are desperate!
