I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Klarna (Toronto, ON) in Jan 2021
Interview
Was reached out to by an external/3P recruiter who told me about the company (new to Canada) and got me excited about Klarna. After a follow-up call with the recruiter where we established there would be a fit, I was asked to do an abstract reasoning test, where you're asked to finish the puzzle sequence for 18 questions, on a timed call with a recruiter from Klarna watching over a virtual meeting. I scored over 80% on the test but was told I didn't get a high enough score, so can't move forward to the next stage. As others have commented here, this process clearly has a high bar and weighting for this test, but doesn't take into account a candidate's strengths or allows them to showcase their skillset. I have to rate this experience as 'negative' because of this because I don't think it allowed me to really demonstrate my abilities to the team.
I applied to a role via LinkedIn. I received a "puzzle" test from a third group who work with Klarna via email to complete and then never heard back from them once completed.
