I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lightspeed in Nov 2024
Interview
It was a 3 Stage interview which was a good format, the presentation required at the 3rd stage was good, I do think that was really good but probably to focus on one process rather than 3.

Question 1
In the 3rd stage of the interview I was asked to go through a training scenario
While I'm grateful for the opportunity to glimpse behind Lightspeed's curtain, I feel compelled to highlight a few areas where the view was less than stellar:
1. Communication: I've heard the word "transparent" so many times, I was beginning to think it was your company motto. Alas, the only thing transparent was the absence of returned calls and consistent updates.
2. Professionalism: I've gained intimate knowledge of the recruiter's dog-walking schedule, which I'm sure will be invaluable in my future career endeavors. It's refreshing to see work-life balance taken to such extreme lengths.
3. Follow-through: I've developed a new appreciation for brevity, thanks to messages like "follow up with you tomo." I assume "tomo" stands for "to make obituary," as that's when I expected to hear back without initiating contact myself.
At least pretend like this is the one job that you do!
If this is Lightspeed's standard for candidate experience, I fear for the company's future.
However, if my experience was a delightful anomaly, consider this email a public service.
In the spirit of the recruiter's 'efficient' communication style, I'll sum up my experience: TL;DR: Unprofessional. Disappointing. Dodged bullet.
P.S. If you need any dog-walking recommendations, I know someone who seems to have ample experience.
