Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Present yourself
- Why have you chosen Mastercard
- Which are your weaknesses
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard (Bogotá, Bogota) in Apr 2022
Interview
First you have to complete a game and GMAT type of exam. Depending on your performance on both activities they invite you to an "interview day". During this day you have to pass a group case interview and then two additional individual case interviews.
I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Mastercard (Kuala Lumpur) in Jan 2022
Interview
3 key steps
1. Automated interview with HireVue or a similar platform
2. 1 on 1 interviews (2 rounds) - This was done with managers and senior managers. Both of whom I found quite pleasant to talk to and offered ample support throughout the case.
3. Fit interview - This round was with a partner and consisted mostly of behavioral questions. However, it may include a brief case.
Overall, I found the interviewers to be quite pleasant. Whatever changes HR made to the recruiting team worked because my interviewers were unlike the others described in previous reviews.
I found the process quite lengthy though. I applied and then waited for ~2 month for a reply. This was because they waited 2 months to close the opening and start vetting candidates. Then maybe another month for my first interview, before which I attended numerous webinars about the job, interview process, etc. But after that, it was smooth sailing.
I would definitely advocate for a more expedited process.
