Interview
The initial HR screening was straightforward and pleasant. My second interview with a Senior Managing Consultant was also positive—structured, respectful, and aligned with the role’s expectations.
I was then invited to the ACS Super Loop Final Round, which was described as a series of three interviews scheduled over the course of a week. However, only the first interview took place, and it was deeply disappointing.
The interviewer—who appeared to be a senior team member—was vaping throughout the conversation, which felt highly unprofessional and distracting. The discussion veered off-topic, lacked structure, and didn’t reflect the caliber I expected from a global firm like Mastercard.
The case study itself was reasonable, but the level of mathematical rigor required felt misaligned with the marketing-focused nature of the role. There was little clarity on how performance would be assessed, and no opportunity to contextualize strategic thinking beyond raw calculations.
It’s now been nearly a week since that interview, and I’ve received no communication about whether rounds 2 and 3 are still happening. For a company that prides itself on innovation and inclusion, the lack of follow-through and professionalism in the final round was surprising and disappointing.

Interview
I spent a week preparing for the case study interview, as that was the format suggested to me. However, none of the questions ended up being about the case study. Instead, the interview started with detailed SQL questions, which caught me off guard since I hadn’t prepared for that.
My suggestion to the management would be to clearly specify what kind of interview format and topics candidates should expect, so people like me can prepare properly and perform at their best. This interview was for the performance management division.
Great overall and nothing too messy or difficult and good overall experience and end results so would definitely suggest exploring opportunities with them.
Interviewers are kind and it’s really just like a conversation rather than interview.
