I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard (Saint Louis, MO) in Jun 2015
Interview
Met with the hiring manager and a team member. The process was fairly straight forward. They told me about the position and what a typical day/project would be. They were looking for a very specific knowledgebase which I had but what was not mentioned in the job description was that they were looking for someone with programming skills. It was not printed anywhere online that they wanted a programmer. ultimately I did not get a call back and it would not have been a good fit for me.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Mastercard
Interview
Initially, I was contacted by HR 2 weeks after I applied online. The screening phone interview took place several days later. It was really a nice talk where I could find out more about position and whether it suits me or not. The nice lady promised to come back to me with an outcome 10 days later since the hiring manager was on a vacation.
2 weeks later I had a call from another HR who arranged another phone interview with the hiring manager. During this interview, I came to a conclusion that this position is perfect for me. The manager and I had similar views and attitude to work, so I could not wait for the next interview in the office.
My second HR arranged this interview for me. However, she mixed up address of the office. Surely I understand that she works in another country, but I thought that it is possible to find out where the company is located if you are arranging interview. I was really lucky that I was near address mentioned by HR the day before the interview. So I realized there is no MasterCard personnel there. 3 hours before the interview HR managed to provide me with the correct address. So I came to double interview with colleagues and local HR. They were completely professional and seemed interested in me as their new co-worker. However, nobody could say to me what is the approximate day of them coming back to me with the outcome of the interview. So I started writing to both initial HR ladies trying to clear this up. The first HR several times promised me that the outcome will be known in 10 days.
After almost 2 months of waiting, I found out on MasterCard's website that the position is canceled. It was a surprise for me because only 2 weeks before that HR asked me to wait 10 more days. They neither called me to announce the position cancelation nor answered my e-mail.
I wish they sent me at least some kind of automated reply.
