I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Mastercard
Interview
1) phone interview with HR
2) phone interview with hiring manager
3) onsite interview with 6 people
Once you get to the onsite part be prepared for a long day, I was stuck in a room for about 6 hours as I was introduced to various members of the team. Although long I found the people very intelligence and overall I was extremely impressed with the company. I walked away from the interview with an overwhelming feeling of having found a company I would enjoy working for.
As it turns out I found another job that I chose in part due to the location. I was not all too keen to live in the NYC area, but I'd have accepted the job otherwise. MC has pay bands but I found MC willing to negotiate compensation
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard (Toronto, ON) in Apr 2013
Interview
Very long hiring process.
Step 1: Applied online
Step 2: HR Manager from New York conducted phone interview to find out about more about my skills/experience and went through my resume and outline how my experience aligns with the position
Step 3: F2F interview with two people (one of which was the hiring manager). interview is conducted 1:1. each interview was 45 mins. thus 45 x 2 interviews
step 3: 2nd round of F2F interview. this time there were 3 people. again each person interviewed me separately last about 45 mins each.
after the interviewing was over, i was told they would get back to me with in 5-7 business days. never heard anything back despite following up with HR manager. finally i emailed one of the senior level people and she got back to me within a couple of hours indicating they gone with someone else.
overall process was very clear and professional. great organization to work for. really wanted this job.
