I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NTT DATA (New York, NY) in Jun 2019
Interview
I applied online and was contacted a few days later by HR. I spent 20 minutes talking about the position, what to expect, and we even discussed salary. The person seemed really enthusiastic in general, and sounded excited about my resume. I was told that a technical interview would be scheduled as soon as our call was over. I e-mailed the HR employee, thanking them for taking the time to speak with me. No response. I followed up a few days later, and still nothing!
This company sounds like they actually take care of their employees, but I'm honestly turned off by how disorganized and flighty their HR department is.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NTT DATA (Londen, Engeland) in Jan 2019
Interview
I would not work at this company given the terrible treatment I received during their interview process. I got through the first 3 rounds (4th round is just a light dinner and drinks with the team), which were medium difficulty, and received good feedback from the recruiter. The next day, I was asked about my salary expectations for the role, in which I repeated what I said in the screening interview (it was within the range covered in the interview brief shared with me at the start). For some reason they wanted the hiring manager to give me a follow up call to discuss my salary expectations again. We chatted about what I was currently earning, and he was going to see what they could do to match a competing offer I had received from a another company.
The next day, the recruiter emailed me saying my application had not been successful. Obviously, I was a bit shocked by this. I replied asking for feedback, as I didn’t understand why we had had salary expectation discussions after the 3rd stage interview if they had no intention of making an offer. I was told they didn’t think I was a good fit for the company and that my performance during the interview presentation was weak (this contradicted the feedback I had been given before). Again, this didn’t explain why I they initiated discussions on salary expectations if there was never going to be an offer made.
I did not seek further feedback, as this put me off the company.
