One phone screening with the manager of the plant. Pretty casual and friendly. Asked about work experience and interviewee knowledge of the company/products. Was 30 minutes in total and then got a follow-up call 2 weeks after with an offer.

Interview
Initial screening interview was great! He talked about the company culture, rotations, and interview tips. Company seemed to have a great, welcoming energy. The panel interview was an entirely different vibe. The moment I logged onto teams, they immediately started asking questions without giving me a chance to even introduce myself. Everyone seemed disinterested from the beginning. There were about 7 to 8 people in the call. Energy was tense all throughout the meeting. Only two or three people on the panel treated me with respect and tried to make the interview feel comfortable and dignified. HR lady talked to me an annoyed tone when I asked a seemingly dumb question. To be fair, it was a little dumb and poorly articulated, but I really can’t imagine having that tone with anyone. I definitely could have prepared better, but the cold, dismissive attitudes from the very beginning made me feel like I wasn’t even an option from the get go. The interview is extremely serious and severe. They are looking for STAR method answers, completely serious tone, and a particular person that definitely wasn’t me. Know how to explain every experience on your resume, don’t let nerves get the best of you (they do not care about your feelings), and be confident! They could probably sense I was nervous and took it as a sign of weakness and being inept. I could tell I was messing it up less than a minute into it to be honest. Make sure you are prepared with a list of questions to ask them at the end, I froze and didn’t know what to ask after three questions. Make sure you have a question or two for each sector, especially the one you are interested in. I wouldn’t say their questions were necessarily difficult at all, but they want you to be able to explain your experiences clearly and expand on it. If you are new to panel interviews, definitely try practicing in front of friends or an audience because I was completely blindsided by the sheer amount of people on the call. Know how to articulate your thoughts and experiences well despite the pressure of a big audience! You’ll be okay.
