I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Penguin Random House
Interview
The interview process was pleasant and professional. There was an initial screening call, then an editing assignment, and then an online camera interview. It took two weeks to hear back after the interview.
I applied with a CV and a cover letter and was then selected for a HireVue where 6 questions appeared onscreen one by one and I had to answer them within 2 minutes
Penguin Random House has always been a tough one to get into. Interviewed for associate publicist in the children's side and made it to last round of interviews then didn't hear back for a month or two. Next thing I know HR messaged me saying that the position was split into 2 roles assistant and publicist role but because I was one of the 2 candidates that they were considering the team wanted me to consider RE-INTERVIEWING for the assistant role. Interviewed with one new person and never heard back at all.
