I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Penguin Random House (Peking, Peking)
Interview
I applied for the position and the next day, they email me to arrange an interview. There were two interviewers: the supervisor of the department and a senior editor. The interview lasted for 0.5 hour, they asked me lots of questions. But they rejected me because of the salary expectation.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Penguin Random House (New York, NY) in Oct 2016
Interview
Had two phone interviews. One with HR second what with a VP. The process was pretty straight-forward, the interviewers were super nice. A lot of fit questions, not that many technical questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Penguin Random House (Londen, Engeland) in May 2017
Interview
I was invited for the first stage of the interviewing process - the video interview - which consists from recording yourself while answering five interview questions. The questions were a combination of typical HR questions and some related specifically to the position I applied for. I found the video interview an odd experience as you are not really interacting with anyone and you're just staring at a live recording of yourself rather than responding to another person's reactions.
