Interview
An HR rep called me a couple months after I applied (I applied when the job posting first went live) and asked me some impromptu interview questions. Then they invited me in for an in-person interview with the specific imprint I would be interning with (I interviewed in mid-August for the Fall Internship Program). The interviewers were great and we had a great conversation. I got a call offering me the position later that day.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Penguin Random House (Crawfordsville, IN) in Aug 2015
Interview
Very informal and comfortable. My interviewer was actually wearing house slippers, since it was after his shift and his boots were probably uncomfortable. lol
I still joke with him about that.

Question 1
Mostly interested in previous experience as a driver. He (and others in management) knew about my last place of employment and how difficult it's reputed to be. I still garner respect for surviving there for 2 years.

Interview
I applied to Penguin Random House three months before I actually received a call from them. The entire process took around a week and a half. When they called it was a sudden phone interview with a HR employee. I received a call four days later to schedule an interview which was two days later. Four days after the interview I received an email with my offer letter and other important documents! It is safe to say that the phone interview was the most important part, and the in person interview was more of an information session about the company and position. It also gives them a way to get to know you! It was very laid back and no tough questions were asked.
