Interview
Once I turned in my resume I was called in for an interview and I met with two of the managers of customer service. The interview was pretty basic, I was asked a series of questions about my skill level, personality, and why I thought I would be a good fit for this company. After the questions were asked I had a chance to ask any questions and then had a series of tests I had to complete.

Interview
The interview process was a bit long. They make you record a first interview online and them meet someone from HR and a senior member of the department.
I went through both stages and was invited to a final interview with the head of the department when I had to do a short presentation.

I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Penguin Random House (New York, NY) in Jan 2014
Interview
I got the internship through reaching out to connections I had at the company. I first interviewed briefly with my connection in the editorial department, who then passed me along to the overall intern coordinator. She was very polite, but not particularly thorough or interested in ensuring I had a stimulating experience. They didn't reach out to me for several weeks, and when they did I was to start a day or two later.
