I applied online. I interviewed at PwC (Birmingham, Engeland) in Apr 2022
Interview
This is a review of the poor experience I had interviewing with PwC UK in Birmingham, for the role of Senior Associate - UK Immigration Team.
I was invited to and attended a demanding, one hour face to face interview, for which I had to commute to Birmingham. Two days later I received an update from the Recruiter that I was unsuccessful, with the only feedback given that they "felt that my current experience was not suitable for a Senior Associate position".
Notwithstanding the fact that I had a (literally) identical role with a top 4 firm at the time of my interview, I naturally felt fobbed off. I rightly expected the feedback to relate to my interview performance. I therefore liaised with the Recruiter in order to obtain specific feedback relating to my interview (that made sense) and was pleased when the Hiring Manager eventually agreed to provide written feedback by the end of the following week. This did not materialise. It was only after I emailed the Hiring Manager directly that I received a response, which was essentially the same vague feedback relating to my experience, written in more words.
Hiring Managers (including Senior Managers) should be prepared to give jobseekers relevant, specific feedback relating to their actual interview performance after a face to face interview. Anything less shows an indifference towards the job-seeker's time and effort. The same Hiring Manager who was jolly when interviewing me was then hostile towards me when I eventually called him to obtain adequate feedback.

It was a three-session interview process. Two back-to-back behavioral interviews were conducted by partners, followed by a case interview. The behavioral conversations felt natural and relaxed, more like a professional discussion about my experiences, decision-making, leadership style, and problem-solving approach.
