Slow, inefficient and the process was so unnecessarily long that they had me take 3 different tests just to be rejected in the end. Talking to the hiring manager/team lead was like talking to a rock. The entire time she appeared unengaged and uninterested to be in the interview. Clearly, Shopee's hiring process is a mess that affects the applicant and their overall experience.

Interview
Went for two levels of interviews for a regional role in marketing. HR was pleasantly responsive and provided timely communication throughout the process. It was fast and efficient.
Interview with the hiring manager is where it fell apart. Interviewer asked pointed questions on very specific topics, without really trying to understand (or perhaps had no time) to understand reasoning. Hiring manager lacked communication skills: She would cut me off mid-speech which I found very rude; and could not articulate her own questions well, looking visibly upset /defensive when I simply probed or asked in order to clarify.
Interview felt one sided. I hope it was just the department I interviewed in, but if not, then this experience says so much about the work culture they have.
