I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Toronto, ON) in Oct 2017
Interview
Phone interview with a hiring manager, phone interview with Toronto office manager, 2.5 hour onsite interview with a peer, a manager, an operations manager and a regional manager (all separate). Despite the intense process, every interview was very calm and conversational, which helped me to relax and really show my strengths.

Question 1
What was a major hurdle in your career so far, and how did you overcome it?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2017
Interview
Recruiter-> hiring manager->VP global comms->site interviews->recruiter feedback/offer. There was a 4 week gap between hiring manager interview and VP global comms interview, which was frustrating because I was balancing competing offers. Other than that, I felt like the recruiter was super helpful, especially in prepping me for each round of interviews.

Question 1
"Why Slack?", "Why this role?"
Less "how would you deal with x problem in y situation" and more about your work style, background, and interest in the role/company.
From my optic (after going through the gazillion rounds of interview with Google and FB) Slack's interview process was a breath of fresh air. Personally, I felt the people with whom I interviewed were empathetic, real, and incredibly nice (coincidentally these seem to be the values of the company), which ultimately set it apart from the others. I picked Slack because I think it really does place an emphasis on people and company culture.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slack (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2017
Interview
Started with Recruiter screening Call, 1hr onsite w/ Manager, 90min CV Review with hiring manager. This was a very streamlined and professional process. All in all a great interview experience.
