Slack interview questions

Disappointing interview process. The recruiter passed my phone screen and I went onto the hiring manager, with whom I spent an hour of my time with. After that I wrote a thank you email asking for feedback or next steps. My portal still looks the same no updates there. I emailed again 9 days later asking for an update and where I was at in the candidacy pipeline and no response. Honestly super disappointing because I loved the idea of working here but the lack of communication was a big turn off.

The worst interview process I have every experienced. Had the initial phone screen, passed that. Had the Hiring Manager interview, that went well too. Then I had the take home exercise, which also went well as I was selected for the final interview. Note that I have already put in about 6hours of time in their process. The final interview was a 3.5hour interview with 4 different people. Everything went great. They said they'll get back to me within 2 business day, maximum 3. 3rd day passes, no response. 4th day I send an email, no response at all. Finally on 5th day the recruiter tells me that they had too many applicants and thats why I did not get selected. I mean are you kidding me? Thats not even a valid reason, they gave me no other feedback at all. You guys need to get your act straight. You wasted more than 10 hours of my work-week time just to respond with "We had too many applicants". This filter of "too many applicants" should be applied at the very first stage and not after the final interview. I would highly suggest everyone to stay away from interviewing at Slack.
