Interview day consisting of individual coding task (low to medium difficulty ) , personal interview covering why i wanted the role, and group excercises to see how i work in teams.
I was kinda buzzed but also super nervous. I picked out my best outfit, about how I spent a good two hours just getting there. I was psyching myself up to chat about my coding projects and how much I like technology. But when those tough questions hit, I totally blanked. Just couldn't get my words out right and missed answering some stuff. Despite all the hype I felt going in, I walked out just feeling bummed, knowing I didn't show them what I'm really about.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Hi, what's your name?"
"Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?"
"What attracted you to the graduate Software Engineer position at Tesco?"
"Can you describe a project you've worked on that you're particularly proud of?"
HR interview followed by a discovery centre where both technical and soft skills were looked at. A long but very thorough process, saving time and costs. This is much more cost effective than attending multiple interview rounds.
