Interview
The recruiter told me on the initial call that there was no need to prepare, as it would be a relaxed conversation where I’d hear more about the role and the team. In reality, the interview felt quite high-pressure: for about 30 minutes I was asked a series of theoretical and very general questions, and the manager seemed to expect either very clear, “textbook” answers or a straightforward “I don’t know”. It often felt as though my answers weren’t really being explored — there was little back-and-forth, and as soon as I finished one response, the next question followed on a completely different topic. I would recommend that future candidates proactively ask the recruiter in advance what format to expect and what kind of questions will be covered, so they can decide how best to prepare.

Interview
Not bad or biased with fairly simple questions on how I would suit the role and how I would contribute positively to the workplace. Solid interview in general for a large store chain.
