Pros

Some interesting people and projects Maxim was nice, shame he was effectively disinhibited from correcting cultural issues.

Cons

They’ve put the biggest problem in HR, as head of HR. Basically only hires Russians / Russian affiliated individuals. Puts anyone on garden leave who speaks up about issues. Hides intentions and lies to employees about their futures with the company.

- Knowledge sharing could be better. - It's annoying to go to the kitchen and hear all the colleagues speaking in Russian. - Only 30 days of Work Remote Abroad

Pros

Once you get over the fact that the majority of employees and nearly all team leads are white Russian men and you hear Russian everywhere, you realise that JetBrains employees are actually so kind. Yes, there are many problems but the people are genuinely good people.

Cons

Extremely toxic, abusive leadership in two largest departments, yet the business does absolutely nothing to address this. Feels like they actually want this to transform the culture and naturally reduce the number of employees, pretending not to want layoffs. CEO and board couldn't care less. Everybody knows about it including HR while people are paying with their mental health and great colleagues are leaving.
