Thoughtworks at Build with AI Cuenca 2025 🇪🇨 Our Director of Engineering Excellence LATAM, María Fernanda Escudero, spoke at Build with AI: Cuenca Edition, organized by GDG Cuenca and local tech communities. In her talk, “AI with Purpose,” she explored how to embed ethics, transparency, and risk awareness into the AI development lifecycle. Mafer also reconnected with the Thoughtworks community in Cuenca and helped strengthen Ecuador’s growing tech ecosystem. Celebrating is also part of building community. Our June Happy Day in Ecuador was all about well-being, connection, and of course — celebrating our birthdays! From a bachata class to self-care sessions and traditional Ecuadorian food, we created a space to recharge, step away from project work for a moment, and enjoy time together as a team. This is how we build culture too: through moments that reinforce who we are when we come together.
We were delighted to host together with APAX Partners a delegation of senior leaders from the esteemed Insurance Asset Management Association of China at our London office last week. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for comprehensive discussions on global trends in insurance asset management and the transformative impact of technology on the industry.
