I applied online. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Manchester, Engeland)
Interview
Easy to arrange with the TA, first stage process over the telephone. The phone call was relatively easy but then ghosted after the interview. No feedback, or replies even when I messaged on LinkedIn and email

Question 1
Tell me about your experience.
What do you know about Checkout.com
Hi,
Thank you for leaving a review. Being ‘ghosted’ is never something we want to see happen to one of our candidates, so we can only apologize that it sounds like communication went silent here.
We’ve shared your feedback with the team which should help ensure this doesn’t happen again, and if you feel like sending over any additional info please reach out to us at people.culture@checkout.com.
Thanks again,
The People Team
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Londen, Engeland) in Jan 2021
Interview
Similar process to other tech companies. General phone screening call, tech screening call, take home test and 2/3 meetings around system, culture etc. I haven’t pass the take home test because my coding style didn’t match the person who reviewed the code. Test is relatively straight forward however takes a while to do. You are given about a week to complete but can easily be done in a day or two as well. The issue is, given what’s asked in the take home test, it doesn’t look like person reviews the test gives too much attention - to put it lightly. On the feedback of improvement/missing parts, there were clear tests that covers a lot of cases. And feedback said tests are really good. Then comment on implementation says that I missed to check a few things and can do repetitive calls. So if that person looked at the tests and understood l, they could clearly see all those cases are covered. And rejecting people on a take home test on minor issues like that which can be improved very easily or changed as it doesn’t require up skill or anything. Just rejecting because it doesn’t fit the reviewers style, that’s how it looks. All stages are on phone/zoom.
Hey,
Thanks so much for reviewing your interview experience.
We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the feedback on your technical task.
We know how much time and effort candidates invest in the task which is why we try and give detailed and consistent feedback where possible. It sounds like we could have done better here.
Thanks for being so specific with your comments, we’ve shared your feedback with the team. And if you have anything else to add you can reach us at people.culture@checkout.com.
Thanks again,

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Londen, Engeland) in Feb 2021
Interview
Approached by a in-house Recruiter on LinkedIn. Overall, a fantastic experience and the team were always so kind, responsive and generally great people. My process involved 5 interview stages:
1st stage: 30-minute phone call with the in-house Recruiter
2nd stage: 45-minute video call with the Hiring Manager
3rd stage: A week to complete the take home task
4th stage: 45-minute video call with both Hiring Managers and 30-minutes with colleagues who I'd be working alongside
5th stage: 30-minute video call with the VP
