I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Londen, Engeland) in Feb 2021
Interview
All over Zoom due to the current situation:
1. Initial conversations
2. Take-home test that takes a few hours
3. Final round that consists of 3 stages
Was kept well informed throughout, feedback was very detailed and everyone involved was prompt and responded to any questions I had.

Interview
I was approached by one of their internal HR over LinkedIn, after the initial chat I was booked for having a meeting with one of their teams to know more about their products, but it turned out to be a technical interview instead which is fine. Then I was given a technical test to complete within a week, which I did and submitted at last day. And two days later, I emailed the HR asking for progress and he replied my test hasn't been looked at yet, then waited for another 4 days, I chased again for updates, no response at all, message the HR in LinkedIn, no response, I have been completely ignored.
It is totally unprofessional and not fair to ignore candidate spent hard work doing the test, I would expect at least some feedback about the test.

Hi,
Thank you for leaving a review.
We know how much time candidates put into preparation for the technical test, which is why we commit to providing feedback to everyone, regardless of how they have performed.
Clearly, that hasn’t happened here and we apologize for that. We’ve shared your feedback with the team, and if you feel like sending over any additional info please reach out to us at people.culture@checkout.com.
Thanks again,

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Londen, Engeland) in Jan 2021
Interview
Similar process to other tech companies. General phone screening call, tech screening call, take home test and 2/3 meetings around system, culture etc. I haven’t pass the take home test because my coding style didn’t match the person who reviewed the code. Test is relatively straight forward however takes a while to do. You are given about a week to complete but can easily be done in a day or two as well. The issue is, given what’s asked in the take home test, it doesn’t look like person reviews the test gives too much attention - to put it lightly. On the feedback of improvement/missing parts, there were clear tests that covers a lot of cases. And feedback said tests are really good. Then comment on implementation says that I missed to check a few things and can do repetitive calls. So if that person looked at the tests and understood l, they could clearly see all those cases are covered. And rejecting people on a take home test on minor issues like that which can be improved very easily or changed as it doesn’t require up skill or anything. Just rejecting because it doesn’t fit the reviewers style, that’s how it looks. All stages are on phone/zoom.
