I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Mar 2015
Interview
Looked at application, called phone interview, took a skills test. Common interview questions with many of the questions about testing morality and experience. Skills test was proctored guess I didn't pass. Was sort of challenging
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Epic in Feb 2016
Interview
I am graduating college this year, and heard about epic from a family friend. I applied online and was contacted within a few days for a phone interview. This part was laid back and pretty superficial. Questions like "Why do you want Epic?" or "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" I'm pretty sure this phase is impossible to screw up, and is just to weed out those who applied but had no intention of following through with other parts of the interview process.
A few days later I was contacted to complete a Skill Assessment Test. This consisted of 1 computer science section where you must make decisions based on a fake language they tell you about. 1 logic section where you have 5 min to complete 30 questions (Not expected to complete the whole section) and 1 longer section on logic, understanding graphs and 9th grade math questions. This exam is taken on the exam and proctored through a third party called ProctorU. This part was very annoying since I got disconnected from the proctor multiple times. This was really only a real issue though when I got disconnected during the 5 min logic section. I lost about 1-1.5 min reconnecting and only completed 15 questions.
After the malfunction during the exam I immediately contacted my HR representative to explain what happened. She told me she would pass on the information. I was pretty distraught and was sure that this would be the of my chances at making it any further. However, 5 days later (and after competing a personality test) I was requested to come down for an onsite interview. That is how far I am in this process. Hope this was helpful.
