Interview
After an extremely easy phone interview, I was invited to an assessment centre in Glasgow. Here, we were given a long sales pitch on how great the FDM graduate program was. They tried to explain away some dodgy clauses in their contract, as if they would not actually act on them. After this, there were three aptitude tests which were suspiciously easy and this was followed by three short interviews with different people. In the middle of the day, we were briefly shown around the FDM academy, and I couldn't help get the impressions that some of it was just for show.
While I was initially glad that I got through, I thought the interview was suspiciously easy. What I heard from former employees only confirmed my suspicions and I turned down the offer. I might be desperate for work, but the FDM contract will use the promise of a job to make you their slave.

Interview
I applied online and got a telephone interview, asking about my motivations and if I would be able to attend an assessment day, as well as getting more information about the graduate scheme. On the day, we were about 20 candidates. After a short presentation about the company, we had a long series of tests on a tablet. Mainly multiple choices questions, quite easy. After a lunch break (not provided) I had 3 mini interviews, with only a few questions - interviewers did not even try to engage or back-channel - they just asked their pre-made questions and wrote down my answers.
