I interviewed at Google (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2013
Interview
Initialy applied for a vacancy through the website, but nobody contacted me. So I decided to find someone from Google team. It took me some time to find a Googler, who recommended me to a recruiter.
Next day I received a mail from a recruiter, that they will attentively examine my resume. 2 days after recruiter contacted me once again and in very polite form expressed, that I do not match this vacancy, but maybe they will find another one for me.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Google (Mountain View, CA) in Jan 2012
Interview
Very brief phone interview followed by an in person interview that was terribly organized, and took no more than a few minutes per interviewer, felt like the kids were running the day care.

Question 1
"If you could be any object in the world what would it be and why"
I submitted my resume online and was lucky enough to be selected from roughly 7K resume submissions/day at that time. The process was long and I didn't know how many rounds there were but the key is being patient and giving it your best every time.
