I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at JLR (Gaydon, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
30 minutes altogether. Two people from the company did the interview and asked questions about my background and then specific engineering questions. It was little difficult getting onsite. Other than that, a compentancy based interview mainly.

Engineering specific questions.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at JLR in Feb 2015
Interview
Had to park 2 miles away and get bus to main centre (utterly pointless and took FOREVER).
Sloppy, and informal. Guy interviewed me, said that at the level of capability I'm at that I would be competing for jobs he'd be interested in. WHAT A PRAT.
Interview was all about whether I liked the new flat shaped Range Rover. I said I loved it (for obvious reasons), but actually HATE them!
From the qaulity of interviewer, I wouldn't of standed to work for the company for long.
