I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, CA) in Oct 2009
Interview
Initial phone communications were good. Had basic screening interview over the phone. Weeks went by with no communication. Then invited to on-site interview. Offices were nice, location was downtown Oakland (ok during the day, not so sure about off-hours). Interviewers were arrogant but asked average questions. Received no further feedback or communication after repeated attempts. Don't recommend KP IT.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Pasadena, CA) in Apr 2010
Interview
the interview wasn't as hard as i thought it would be. They didn't ask anything really technical. Mostly they asked about your experiences and if you understand particular topics in Java. The interviewers were friendly and the interview was more of a conversation.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) in Jan 2010
Interview
I was contacted by the employer and told that I met all of the criteria for an opening they had. They sent me an extensive set of questions about Organizational Architecture. I spent close to an entire day answering the questions. They then called back and said that the criteria for the position had changed and the individual selected must have managed care experience. Boom! Door slammed.
Questions asked on the 'essay' weren't difficult. The process was just time consuming.
