I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Klarna
Interview
- Online IQ test
- Hacker rank online challenge with 3 tasks ramping up from leetcode easy to hard
- Another IQ test
- Once that's done they'll schedule 4 interviews: coding, behavioral, design, cultural fit - split into 2 parts.
They use some online drawing board for "whiteboard coding" except it's horrible for writing text, let alone code. One of the interviewers took his time describing unimportant stuff like his entire career, what university he graduated, how he met his wife. Then I got a couple trivia questions and a leetcode hard (literally they used an existing leetcode problem). I managed to solve it but they came back to me in a couple of days with a rejection with generic feedback.
- 30 min call with TA recruiter.
Talked about my experience and motivation for joining Klarna. Also discussed financial expectations and how teams are structured in Madrid.
- Short JS exercises about data manipulation.
Was told that solutions were overly complicated and didn't consider edge cases, although all tests they provided were passing.
