Question 1
How do you deal with multiple tasks when there is a deadline
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Koch (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2023
Interview
Series of 3 interviews, initially an individual phone screen followed by two "panel" interviews. It was a very technical role and became clear to me pretty quickly that the people interviewing me didn't really understand the technology related to the role. Questions were more general and related to understanding how to develop software rather than knowing the specifics of developing the custom platform as requested in the job description. They had a hard time answering my questions about why certain decisions were made about the platform they were looking for a lead architect for - again related to the job post and other information presented during the interview.
The final interview seemed to be very scripted and specifically looking for me to demonstrate that I had read and would embrace the company culture. I probably could have done a better job in delivering the talking points that I knew they were looking for. I finished the final interview not expecting an offer.
It was very conversational and included both technical and behavioral questions. It was important to demonstrate a real interest in real estate but also to be knowledgeable enough to answer technical questions about the field.
