I applied online. I interviewed at Mastercard (Sydney) in Apr 2017
Interview
Applied online. Attended the final round interview but didn't get the offer.
Both first and final round interviews were typical consulting case interviews (business case + estimation question) with one or two behavioural questions. First round interview was with senior consultant/manager; final round was with directors.
Cases they used focused on the retail segment. Most problems were about evaluating a business initiative aiming to promote sales. They would like you to ask more questions about customers and really understand their possible response to the initiative. That's what I learnt from their feedback.
In terms of the culture and people, it surely is an excellent company with nice guys working there. I Had lots of conversation with them and lunch with the Head of Office even after I failed in the interview.
