First process was online test, which was easy (easier than other cognitive test I've done), then an HR screening session which was quite straightforward and good. The HR person was friendly and gave helpful tips about the next round which was problem solving interview. The problem solving interview session is the problematic one. Interviewer was unfriendly and seem to be in a rush since the beginning. The interview started as if the interviewer was reading from a script and just trying to get over it as soon as possible or looks like she doesn't care. The format is also rather different to typical consulting case (MBB style), where typically you're judged mostly on your thinking process rather than final answer, but in Revolut's case, the interviewer seem to only care that the candidate get to the answer that they want, instead of evaluating through the thinking process. It was 100% candidate driven (zero brainstorming or collaboration with interviewer). The interviewer only acts as a reactive data bank. The interviewer also did not try to help you throughout the process nor redirect or gave feedback on your logical deduction or thinking or judgement. The interviewer judges on whether the answers matches the one they have, even when other alternative are also logically sound. Candidate aren't supposed to make any assumptions even when it's logically deduced. Overall it seems like the interviewer has a different expectation compared to how most consulting case interviews typically are done, and judges candidate by their final answer rather than thinking process.
I applied online. I interviewed at Revolut (Londen, Engeland) in Dec 2025
Interview
Case study final round. Interviewer was incredibly poor and did not adhere to the interview format outlined by the firm prior. Provided very confusing answers to my questions at the start of the case study round.
