The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile in Jan 2012
Interview
Applied online, had to take a personality test, as well as an online virtual assessment, this is to see how you react in certain situations. Applying, test, and assessment takes anywhere from 1-2 hours. About a month later I got a phone call asking if still interested in the position. Set up a 1 on 1 interview with the store manager.
Afterwards I had a 2nd interview set up with the store manager and the district manager. After the 2nd interview you have to complete a background check which is done by hireright. You need to provide your education, criminal check, residence history for 10 years, and employment history for 5 years. The check went really fast, less than 72 hours. A few days after I found out the background check was completed got my offer.
The interviews were pretty basic. They follow the STAR format. I dressed for business, suit pants, shirt and tie for both interviews. You also run through your resume. It seems long as you have a great personality and are eager to learn and sell, they are willing to train you.
Training is 2 weeks long at a different location.
Also do your homework prior to, example; latest company news; and gadget news, they like that.
