I applied through other source. I interviewed at Tipalti in Sep 2024
Interview
The interview was scheduled for 45min and the interviewer was very blunt and spoke like a robot.
He was predominantly interested to find out what my previous companies do and what they have done in terms of strategy and also asked a lot of questions around my own strategy. He has shown very little interest in me as a person and I felt the interviewer is 100% poaching for ideas from sales candidates that he can then sell as his own idea to his senior management. He also only had a few years of sales experience and didn’t seem qualified enough to be in the role, so I guess that’s why he’s looking out for ideas from people he’s interviewing. Overall I saw too many red flags.
Never heard back from them but that was expected. This is a company that wastes people’s time and eventually has zero intentions to hire, but is interviewing to “fish for ideas”.
The interviewer also weirdly mentioned that they “struggle” to find people. A very odd thing to say to a candidate.

Question 1
Talk me through how you would open and finish a meeting with C-Level meeting.
What are some of your most successful GTM strategies?

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tipalti (Vancouver, BC) in Jan 2024
Interview
Interview process involved recruiter call, manager interview, then a three person panel interview that was in their office. For the most part the interviews were fine and weren’t very challenging. However I got a feeling the hiring managers were playing a bit of a good cop bad cop routine as I felt near hostile energy from one of them, and a welcoming vibe from the other.

Question 1
How were you ever creative in the role with your outreach.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Tipalti (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Underwent a quick first interview. Interviewer seemed to be going through the motions, and just felt like I was speaking to a robot. Primarily questions about previous experience and how it related to the position, also what KPI’s I was familiar with. Never heard from them again.
