I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tipalti in Feb 2025
Interview
It started with a call from the recruiter. As someone here previously mentioned, make sure you have good network—she wasn’t very friendly at first, but her attitude improved as I progressed through the interviews.
The process began with a phone interview where they introduced the company. Next, I had a short 30-minute video conversation with the group lead, which was mostly an introduction. Then came the technical interview, which lasted a bit over an hour with manager and developer.
Overall, the technical interviewers were very friendly, and it was a positive experience.

It focused on Node.js: they presented an existing application, and I had to complete missing parts while ensuring the tests ran successfully.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Tipalti (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Tipalti hiring teams seem to lack the experience to be confident in their own decisions. They take candidates through endless interviews (including at least 1 assignment) with a large number of people to seemingly deflect/dilute potential blame/fault from each of the interviewers individually for making bad hires.
This may have been more understandable several years ago when the company was considerably smaller, but not for a company of Tipalti's size today. Their lack of confidence and professionalism is further exemplified by "ghosting" candidates that they are not moving forward with by not notifying them... at all... not even a "Do Not Reply" email.
The relatively immature business practices of Tipalti's inexperienced hiring teams leads me to believe that it would not be a pleasant employment experience and as such, I am no longer considering applying to Tipalti's job postings. Incidentally, Tipalti is the ONLY company that I have EVER taken this stance on, and/EVER submitted a negative interview review for.
