💰Financial Health: is not about more money, it is about living life on your terms. Did you know that 41% of Women in the Netherlands are financially dependent? Or that after a divorce, women lose 24% of their purchasing power? These are just a few facts that highlight the importance of the closing of the gender gap and improving women's financial health. Active empowerment and ongoing conversations 💬 are essential to achieve this. For this reason, Lioness, the employee network for gender diversity, invited Japke Kaastra - Head of Financial Health, to share her personal story and offer pragmatic advice on financially empowerment. 🎤 During the afternoon session, Japke walked us through her life events and provided valuable insights on how to prepare for them, emphasizing of being financially and personally resilient. No one is immune to life events, and the ability to absorb financial shocks is invaluable. Japke’s story sparked a meaningful conversation among the attendees about how to achieve and maintain financial health. 🦁A welcome to the new ING interns!🦁 At our Intern Kick Off event last week, we’ve welcomed over 90 new ING interns. We started off this event with a walk-in lunch🥪, which was followed up by fun session full of presentations & activities: 🎤 After a quick get-to-know each other, Ronald Van Buuren kicked off with a presentation on the ING brand. 💬 During a Panel Discussion with Alex Dzhurasenko 🇺🇦, Anna Vierdag & Sabine Knoers, the interns got to ask their questions. 💻 A presentation on AI risk by John Houterman & Toon vd Kwast gave interesting insights about this subject within the organisation. 🏆 The interns got very competitive during a fun bingo game, where they could win some prizes. 🌱 Inge Lamberts & Jazz Rosheuvel gave the interns some sustainable finance dilemma’s, which really put their minds to thinking. 🥂 We wrapped up this event with some drinks & bites, where the interns had some time to connect. We wish all our new interns a nice and impactful internship at ING!
