Nice talking to the interviewer. Supposedly, there is a 2nd round, but there are last-minute changes, which I didn't hear from them anymore after a few follow-ups.
Nevertheless, i thought the interview was a great session where I was able to share examples and provide a holistic overview of myself. interviewer was patient too.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are the challenges you typically face managing your existing accounts? How do you overcome them?
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Londen, Engeland)
Interview
The interviewer was friendly and encouraging throughout, the full time was used. They asked good questions and made me feel at ease. They explained the role well and answered my questions openly.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Checkout.com (Londen, Engeland) in Oct 2024
Interview
3 stages - a 30min HR call, a 45min call with the hiring manager and then 3 back to back interviews on site lasting 30mins each. The final interviews are all around the operating principles the company has introduced. Positives - the recruiter was very pleasant and did a good job of keeping me informed. I was given a call to say it was a no followed by some feedback within 48hrs of my final interview. Negatives - the reasons for my rejection seemed very vague, mainly to do with leaving 1 previous position in under a year (a total anomaly in my career). I had interviewed with 2 out of the 3 people beforehand, 1 in particular was completely disinterested and robotic throughout both times I've been unfortunate enough to speak with him. Wildish as it sounds, despite there being a rigid 3 days in the office policy, this didn't apply to him as he dialled into the interview whilst everybody else attended in person. The first interviewer was late, meaning all the interviews were rushed. Be prepared for the interviewers to just be heads down in their laptops throughout, rather than having an open and engaging conversation and using their brains to collate notes immediately afterwards. Overall, a company I would avoid in future.
