I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ING (Amsterdam) in Sep 2020
Interview
I applied and received an answer very shortly; the next day after the application, we scheduled a telephone call with HR. Telephone call lasted appr. 30-40 minutes and consisted of super general and boring questions like why ING and what is you strength etc. Also, questions about years of experience in certain very specific domains required for the role + salary expectations.
3 days after the follow-up message, I received a rejection letter stated that the hiring manager does not select me for further procedure.
I don't know the procedure in the Netherlands, but it is logical that you are already pre-selected by the hiring manager in order not to make an empty conversation with HR. Or they lie you in their messages. Very weird any way.
Overall, all responses on the various applications I received within 2-3 days (so it is pretty fast). However, there is no explanation of the reasons why you have not been selected (even after you write it directly to the HR specialist and objectively meet all requirements). Ghosted, ghosted, ghosted...
