The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Navan (Half Moon Bay, CA)
Interview
The team was very professional, courteous, and agile. The process went quickly but it was comprehensive and thorough. I both answered and asked a lot of questions. I received transparent, helpful responses about the stage the company is in and the current construction of the team. I also appreciated the t-shirt, swag bag and my name written in the conference room I was in. Very nice, small touches that I have never experienced elsewhere for an interview. It implies thoughtful leadership and healthy work environment.

Question 1
Who’s the best performer on your team? What would they say about you?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Navan (Palo Alto, CA) in Jan 2018
Interview
Whether or not I received an offer, I would still rate the interview process as highly positive. The recruiter who reached out to me was friendly, transparent and accommodating to my schedule. After a phone screen, I spoke to a member of the team, the hiring manager and eventually an on-site interview with 3 people at their HQ in Palo Alto.
While each interviewer had different personas, they were all dynamic and seemed genuinely interested in my background. It also didn't hurt that they were equally passionate about what the company was doing and seemed very optimistic about its future outlook. For my late-morning onsite interview, the recruiter (Benita) was thoughtful enough to provide a small basket of snacks and water upon my arrival. Nice touch!
To future interviewees---Do your homework, know your processes. Get to know the space, their business model and the audience who you will be speaking with. And do not underestimate morning rush hour traffic heading south on the Peninsula.

Question 1
Situational questions to test problem solving & thinking on my feet.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Navan (Palo Alto, CA) in Nov 2017
Interview
Total time from notification of first interview to offer was about 7 weeks. Possibly decrease the interview process time, so as to not lose the candidate to other offers. Also could have been that my process was over the holidays, which contributed to the the longer scheduled interviews.
